1. Who we are

This privacy policy applies to malikarsalan.com, the personal website of Malik Arsalan, a tech entrepreneur based in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. Contact: [email protected]

  • Contact form data — name, email address, and message content when you submit the contact form via Formspree.
  • Newsletter data — email address (and optional name) if you subscribe to email updates.
  • Server logs — standard logs including IP address, browser type, and pages requested. Used for security only.

Data is used only to: understand site usage (analytics), respond to contact form messages, send opted-in newsletters, and maintain site security. No data is used for advertising profiling or sold to any third party.

Google Analytics cookies track anonymous visitor behaviour. Opt out via Google's opt-out tool. Session cookies are used for basic site functionality and expire when you close your browser. Theme preference is stored in localStorage (key: ma-theme) to remember your light/dark mode choice. This is not a cookie and contains no personal data. You can clear it by clearing your browser's local storage.

Depending on your location you may have rights to: access, rectify, or erase your data; object to processing; or unsubscribe from marketing emails. Email [email protected] with any request. I will respond within 30 days.

  • Contact form messages — retained in inbox until no longer needed. Delete on request.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data — per Google Analytics retention settings (typically 26 months).
  • Server logs — typically 30 days.

8. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, email [email protected] and it will be deleted promptly.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects any changes. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
