I've been online since 2010 — building things before I knew it could be a career. A geology degree, a year in China on a scholarship, COVID-19 sending me home, and then one clear decision: stop treating the internet as a side project. That was 2020.
Since then, ScanQR.org went from nothing to 1.8 million people using it every month. Not one paid visit. Every one came from Google — because the tool is genuinely useful and the SEO is done properly.
In January 2025 I founded Ash Tech Solutions — apps with over 100,000 Play Store downloads, a YouTube Silver Play Button, and more tools in the pipeline. I work from Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir. The internet doesn't care where you sit.
I first got serious about computers and the internet in 2010, in Muzaffarabad. There were no courses, no YouTube tutorials in Urdu, nobody around me doing this. Just trial and error, late nights, and projects nobody else was looking at. The curiosity was there before any plan was.
I studied Geology at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, graduating in 2017. After that, Islamabad — call centre work, medical billing, eventually geology fieldwork — while building web projects on the side. In 2018 I won a master's scholarship to study in China. I went. A year in, COVID-19 happened. Students were sent home. Borders closed. I came back to Muzaffarabad without completing the degree, with no clear path forward.
Coming back was clarifying. I had been deferring the obvious decision for years. With the geology path on hold indefinitely, I stopped treating the internet as a backup plan and made it the only plan. In 2020 I built QRGenerator.org and ScanQR.org. The strategy was simple: find what people search for, build a better tool than what's currently ranking, and optimise every page for Google. No paid ads. No investors. No agency. ScanQR.org now receives 1.8 million visits every month and has never spent a rupee on advertising.
In January 2025 I founded Ash Tech Solutions — a proper software house, not a solo operation. App developer, digital marketers, real products. Our apps have crossed 100,000 Play Store downloads. The YouTube channel earned its Silver Play Button long before the company was formally incorporated. The model that works — build tools people search for, grow them through SEO — is the same model, just with better infrastructure and a small team behind it.
